Wormed - Exodromos (2013)

Who's ready to get slammed into another fucking dimension? Ten years in the making and I'm so stoked on this. With the release of a new Wormed album, Portal, Suffocation, Defeated Sanity, Guttural Secrete, and Euphoric Defilement I can't stop cumming. Enjoy!

Church Whip - Psychedelic Nightmare (2013)

After the release of an impressive demo and 7", Church Whip has presented us with this totally fuckin bitchin full length. Psychedelic Nightmare is a further foray into the void of blown out d-beat weirdness. Now with ever more rippin ass guitar solos. I'm jealous of everything about this band. Their name. The album title. And that I didn't make this record first.

Features members of Merchandise, Cult Ritual, Horrid Cross, and more. Highly Recommended.

Apparently everyone hates them now because they called their tour "Rape The East," or something. Pretty fucking stupid. Raping a portion of land doesn't have any real sexual connotation, as far as I can tell, so I don't see what all the fuss is about. I'd definitely go see them live.

Left For Dead - Void Of Everything

It's Friday night and I'm bored and super hammered. I listened to this in the car on my way home from work.I raged so hard I almost crashed my volvo. I love all things Colohan and I fucking love Left For Dead. This is pretty much their entire output revamped. Shit's hard as fuck.

EAT SHIT.

Cultes Des Ghoules - Henbane (2013)

This post is going to be more about me than Cultes Des Ghoules because I'm self absorbed and I've hardly listened to this yet.

I've mentioned a few times I'm not on here much because I don't have a computer at home and I'm busy and blah blah blah, but my amazing friend and coworker GAVE me a perfectly fucking good laptop, so the kid is back!

I kow everybody is trying to wrap their heads around Portal's Vexovoid, but enjoy the newest offering from Poland's own black/death metal weirdos. Dudes have yet to disappoint, so I'm optimistic.

Cloud Rat - Moksha (2013)

Cloud Rat are a 3-piece grind band from Michigan. This new LP Moksha absolutely destroys. It flows quite nicely for a grind record. Don't get me wrong, there's multiple onslaughts of barrage thrashing, but there's a few slow tracks that sort of work as interludes breaking the album up into movements. What's even better is the slower tracks are actually cool so you don't skip them. That almost never happens. The production is raw. Good raw. Not trashcan raw. Shit's gritty and the vocals just decimate.

Additionally, there's a cover of Neil Young's "The Needle And The Damage Done." One time while eating pizza with some friends Bob Dylan came on the radio and one of them said "This asshole and Neil Young should 69 on a landmine." I don't dislike Neil Young as much as my friend, but I definitely don't go out of my way to listen to his music either. Cloud Rat doing it is much easier for me to handle.

The bottom line here is DO NOT SLEEP ON CLOUD RAT. I did. I slept on them fucking hard, man. I've had their first LP just sitting in a folder for 2 years and never even listened to it. I feel like a total dipshit now. This is a solid effort and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Cloud Rat's Blog

With the recent return of some of my favorite blogs The Living Doorway and Coffin Psalms, I'm starting to feel back in the community spirit. I have other reasons for neglecting this thing besides blogs dropping off like flies such as - I don't have a computer at home and I now manage the shop I work at, so I actually have to do shit when I'm there instead of fucking off here with you guys (the preferred activity.) The other issue is I've been just hoarding all this new shit as it comes out, but not having much time to really get into any of it.

Even though i'm living like a cro-mag with no computer, I do have a phone and am all up in some Instagram. I enjoy it way more than I ever thought I would. If you want a glimpse into how much I'm drinking, what I'm watching on Netflix, or what my dog and I are up to you can follow me @annihilatenextweek

You Guys Care About Mixtapes, Right? Vol. 8

As promised, here is another mixtape post. Sorry for the delay, but as some of you may know I blog from work and have no computer. I work in retail and it's fucking December, so this took me forever to put together. Here's some new shit that slaps. ENJOY!

Recommended by Lil Ugly Mane. The MC is Face Vega and it's all produced by Gila Monsta, who is a self-proclaimed "slap enthusiast," so it makes the trunk go bzzzzzz. Apparently he samples Opeth in there somewhere. I haven't listened to Opeth enough to pick it out though. These guys are cool. Real dark and psychedelic.

Gorgeous Children - Gorgeous Children

I heard these guys on the song Bath Salt, which appeared on the ASAP MOB mixtape. It's definitely the best song on the whole thing, so I checked out Flatbush Zombies. This shit is really good. Flatbush Zombies spit like fuckin crazy. Additionally, they're total degenerates. All they talk about is drugs and pussy. It's awesome. There's also clips from Gummo and Frailty on it.

Flatbush Zombies - D.R.U.G.S.

I also heard this guy on the ASAP MOB mixtape. So, it's some more New York stuff. He's definitely got the latin Big Pun/Fat Joe thing going on. The majority of this thing bumps hard and the dude snaps. Features Flatbush Zombies and A$AP Ferg. I'm into it.

Bodega BAMZ - Strictly For My P.A.P.I.Z.

Yet another New York dude. He's 1/2 of the now defunct Das Racist who I've never cared much about. I do enjoy their solo efforts. This is Heems' newest one and it's killer. Also features Bodega BAMZ.

Heems - Wild Water Kingdom

This is actually an official release, not a mixtape. This is a dude rapping/yelling over some hard ass electronic shit. Apparently a member of Hella is part of the group. I don't know shit about Hella. It took me a while to get into this, but one day it just clicked for me. The Money Store came out on Epic Records. A few months later they had another record ready to go and the label wanted to wait to release it, so they just leaked it online themselves (complete with album art - the name of the album written in sharpie on an erect penis.) Soundcloud, file sharing sites, bit torrent sites, etc. Plus they shared private messages from the label to them. Long story short - they are no longer part of the Epic roster. Pretty fuckin cool.

Dropout - Dropout EP (2012)

My band's EP is done. I know I said the mixtape post was up next, but I'm still working on it. This is easy, because I'm not gonna write up my own band. That's weird. In the meantime, PEEP DIS.
